The Tour has been relagated to beater status for some time now, but this is the straw that breaks it.

For as long as I've owned this car, the rear tires have worn much faster than the fronts. Just bought a couple new BFG Traction TAs on the rear, along with a 4 wheel alignment.

Apparently the rear suspension adjustments are frozen, and cannot be adjusted at all (the tech was afraid of breaking parts). They quoted me $575 parts and labor to fix it. At this point, I don't know if it's worth it to put any more money into the car. Hopefully I'll be able to trade it by the end of the year.....

These cars aren't getting any younger.

Probably could fix it yourself for like $150.

You're in IL, aren't you near some wrench saavy CEG'ers? I'm sure they'd help you out.

Yeah, I might...

Car is a beater after my sister-in-law got in 2 accidents with it while I was in Iraq. She didn't have insurance and it wasn't worth it to put the accidents on ours. I just think I'm ready for something new. Maybe a new Mustang GT- if I can afford it.

lol, I had forgotten all about that. If it weren't for the new Mustang coming out , I'd probably jump on it. Hope to make the Tour last till the end of the year, and then see if SVT is going to have the new Cobra out. If not, I might get a GT.
