Okay, i've just been checking out my g/f's stock HU, and noticed it was quite large. I was thinking.. I pulled it out, and realized it was a Double Din. I checked on crutchfield, and it shows it as a regular Din. Honkey, did you go through the same thing? Anyone else? Oh well, at least i got a home for my MD-CD alpine HU.

You need an adapter kit from Scosche for the Cougar/Focus, also you will be needing a VW antenna adapter to get the radio working The stock stereo is indeed DDIN

Thanks, but i'm pretty sure that it will fit my HU.. It's a double Din alpine. So Basically, i just need to stuff that baby in. I'll post a pic of it later.

what model number is it? I didn't even know Alpine still made a DDIN HU.

It's an older one. I need to check inside my g/f's car for the model number. I also got it at a steal for $200. I know it's a minidisc/cd one too.
