I talked to Rick at Extrude Hone and we can get another GB on these with 6 people. Let me know if you guys would be interested. Here are the details:
Cost - $285 no matter what 2.5L UIM you send Flow #s - 193 cfm (25% more than stock)
Here is a flow-data breakdown on our UIMs:
stock manifold = 155 CFU single honed (98-98.5 SVT) = 170 CFU double honed (99-00 SVT) = 180 CFU triple (some people) = 188-190 CFU This new process: 193 CFU, possibly bit more.
FYI -- our upper intake manifolds are the biggest flow restrictor in the engine's intake air path.
Let me know guys. I want to get mine done and I would like to get that low price. Thanks alot for any help getting there!

Whoa $285 does that include return shipping? I would love to get this done as I am planning a 3L turbo in the fall. But my main transportation is the SVT. If I get my new ZX5 by then I will more than likely be in. Would the lower require matching to gain full benefit? Also if Demon could chime in I know he had his triple EH. Maybe he could let us know if its worthwhile. -tropictour

I saw this at NECO and thought the GB was over with a long time ago. Let me get this straight, we pay shipping there and back, and then the $285.00 goes towards the new process that opens it up to 193 cfm for sure, or is that the price of each pass?

285's a pretty good price considering what exh usaully gets for one pass.........i think the most restrictive part of the intake depends on which engine you have, having the non-svt duratec i'd say my heads would be the most restrictive part......didnt somebody post dyno results after the last group buy? gained like 5hp? and 5-7tq? depending when this happens i want in.....any idea how long the process takes?

could this be done to a custom aluminum manifold like the wagner? Not that its not going to flow good, I was just curious. I don't know how the machine operates so i am not sure if they will take a different manifold or not. I realize the thread said 2.5 manifold but i thought i would try anyways..

You have a fabbed intake ... the walls will start to crumble under the mad boost you have in mind if you make them any thinner

Not to burst you bubble but relatively stock SVT's will see very little gains in HP/Torque (~1-2 HP and 1-2 LB torque). SE models will notice the biggest gains since they will have the biggest gain in CFM. Also ALL SVT UIM's be it 98.5, 99 or 2000 where all the same SINGLE pass extrude honethis was proved on the last GB and also verified by Rick Miller Project Manager at Extrude Hone. He is the guy that did them for FORD and will tell anyone who wants to know that this is the truththey are all the same single pass!!!
Here are my Dyno results before and after MSDS and Extrude Hone Max Flow UIM done separately to prove the gains of each mod respectively. These where also done on a Mustang Dyno so the numbers will be slightly less then you will get on a Dynojet Dyno. But the point is all the pulls where done on the same Dyno with similar temperatures on both days last Oct.- Nov. 2000 SVT 10/12/04 Baseline: 159.06 HP @ 6600 / 127.6 LB @ 5750 w/Bassani Cat-Back and K&N RU-3530
After install of MSDS Headers and Y-Pipe... 11/13/04
Run 1: 170.5 @ 6750 (+11.44hp) / 143.5 @ 5750 (+15.9lb) w/MSDS Headers and y-pipe Still making power@ rev limit, max power (HP) not achieved.
Installed Extrude Hone Max Flow (193CFM) UIM between runs...
Run 2: 171.6 @ 6750 (+1.1hp)/145.3 @ 5500 (+1.8lb) w/Extrude Hone Max Torque came in at 5500 from 5750 on previous pulls. Extrude Hone UIM seemed to bring down the rpm a little for max torque. Same as Run 1still making power@ rev limit, max power (HP) not achieved.
Actual Dyno plots in this thread... http://www.contour.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=dynodrag&Number=769108&page=4&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1
Back to power gains... I do however think that the Turbo and 3L guys with PNP heads with 3L valves plus bigger TB's (65-70mm) will see better results as it has shown in SVTpete's 3L Hybrid that produced 202hp/177tq on the same dyno the same day "un-tuned" as my car.
Over all you can't beat the price since this is nearly a 3rd of what it would normally cost. If you plan to keep your car and upgrade it will most definitely help in the long run. Rick is a great guy and very knowledgeable and will answer all of your questions truthfully.

I think your point is valid about modest gains on near stock SVTs. I think SVTs with optimzed t.body, LIM, headers, custom A/F management may do better...as would 3L. I would not assume near stock SEs would have big gains..they lack the Extrude Honed cylinder heads, big t.body, LIM, cams to make high RPM power where this mod likely has the best payoff... Some gains but probably <4-5 HP..
I will add Extrude Hone service is excellent. I was part of earlier GB and wanted port matching. I returned the thing and they hogged it way out (all the way, not just the ports which is what I expected) for no additional fee.
