Got my wireless broadbannd installed. supposed to be capped at 256k download, but I nearly always get 900k or better. 64k upload with package, don't know how to test that.
Using Vonage, so far a little choppy. ISP is coming out tomorrow to check the antenna aim, pings are showing dropped packets.

Heh, I'm running a 6mb dn/ 1.5mb up through my local provider, which is then routed through my (Satori) driven Linksys WRT54G wifi router. So, far I can get a great signal everywhere in my house even the basement (router located on 2nd story).

Congratulations you'll never go back to dialup ... rejoice at the thought of never hearing that connection modem screech again! Funny thing is, if you're ever given regular access to a business or college LAN then you'll be spoiled by that. When I went home for summers I felt like the Internet was crawling compared to my personal campus 10Mb connection (which this year the campus upgraded to 100Mb for everyone). It wasn't till my parents upgraded the 256k to a 3Mb line through a Charter special that I began feeling right again, haha.

That will be me this summer. My college's connection is 100mb, and I'll be going to the slowest 28.8k around.

My resutls:
Loaded 1,396,595 bytes in 11.026 seconds from Polar Comm. server.
Your Results: 1013 Kb
Loaded 754,928 bytes in 5.348 seconds from Polar Comm. server.
Your Results: 1129 Kb
Also:
You uploaded 414,028 bytes in 20 seconds. Your upload speed is 166 kbps
Did the upload speed test, and got this:
You uploaded 1,059,140 bytes in 42 seconds. Your upload speed is 202 kbps.
So, that shouldn't be causing the problem. In fact, I should be able to run Vonage at the highest settings with that, but it's way choppy.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.
