Yeah, thanks for the tidbit on wheel percentage, didn't know that.
The problem that sometimes occurs, but is emphasized ten-fold when it happens is, people register and start giving advice or comments that actually aren't true or are half-truths(even I sorta did recently), thinking that "it's only the internet so altho I don't know the answer exactly, I'll tell them my version"

This messes it all up. The years of truths on the forum and someone gives (we can call it) "newbie" advice.

I know there are individuals on this site that like to be the Contour Police, but those individuals are the minority. Speaking from my own experience, I have come from knowing nothing about these cars to knowing enough to make me dangerous around them In that time, I have always tried to help people with questions who have taken a small amount of time to do some reading before posting and construct a logical, correct sentence when posting. However, it becomes quite tiresome when there are three threads in Troubleshooting all within days of each other that say something like "OMG WTF i jus started up my car an this lihgt is on it looks like an x what do i do pls hlp". For the record, I have told people to search, but I've always tried to be polite and helpful about it, even if it doesn't always come across that way.

You don't have to go to Contour University (go Cougars!) but I think at a minimum everyone should take the time to read the FAQ section and the sticky threads above each forum they want to post to. If you still have questions, ask. Back on topic I personally don't like the wheels, but I think its because of the lip. I've never been a big fan of wheels with studded lips.

hahaha, i wouldn't go all that far as calling them civic tires...

why not? all Honda Civic 17" tire packages come with 205/40/17's. I would personally hold out a couple hundred and get the right size and look then to try to go for the steal.

Yeah, hang around a while, you'll get used to it.
About your car, nice, wheels look ok (nothing I would chose, hey its your car) yeah I agree with everyone else needs bigger side walls for the tires, and maybe lowered a few, and that dent fixed, ouch.
