Finally decided to add a cd changer to my 'Tique.

Managed to squeeze it into the glove box, which is kinda cool, cuz I didn't want it in the trunk.

Since I got a matching changer for my deck, there was only one cable to run, and I drilled a little hole in the back of the glove box so that I could run the cord "in" instead of "over"... if you get the idea.

Best of all, it was cheap! C$150 brand new.

Thanks for letting me celebrate with ya'll.

That is a great price. I take it that it was $150 for the changer, right? What make and model is the head unit and changer? Post some pics!

Thanks

Hey all,

I'll try to answer all your questions:

1) I paid C$150 (plus tax) for the changer (CHX-1000). My deck was significantly more.

2) I have the JVC KD-SH99 mp3 deck (last year's model).

3) When I say I managed to "squeeze" the changer in the glove box, I mean squeeze. It's NOT a perfect fit. The top left corner of the changer pushes against the panel just under the dash when I close the box. It's a slight problem, and I really wish I had found a way to make it a 'perfect' fit, but since I did not want the changer in the trunk or under the seat, I deal with it.

I don't know if the glove box sizes vary pre/post 98...

I'll try to take some pics when I get my hands on a digital camera. I'll see what I can do.

Take care everyone!

Brian

I've got a jvc 12disc changer I put in space in trunk on left side by tailight there is a space there moulded into hard carpet. I cannot get it into the glove box or under the seats.
