I have just recently bought a 99csvt and I was wondering what all I can do to insure the car runs at full potential. I have heard of metal impeller water pumps and something about an upgraded oil pan. Can someone tell me more about these and any other mods to help car be more reliable. Thank you

I suggest you hit up the search feature a bit. If i am not mistaken there is a thread stuck at the top of 3L forums dedicated to the oil pan. If you search the "Duratec Maintenance" forum you will find plenty of info on the water pump, here too.

Change the oil and filter (K&N) every 4000 miles minimum. Probably needs new spark plugs....don't get Bosch Platinum Plus 4, get Autolite double platinum APP764. May as well replace the plug wires too. Ford Motorsports wires are okay, Magnacore are better, but $$$$$. As stated previously, do some searching.

'99 Sport TropicGreen,Duratec, SVT exhaust, Brembo rotors, Ceramic pads, K&N filters(oil & air), Alpine CDM7874, Polk DB570 speakers front and rear. Fog light mod. 50% Formula One tint.
