Traded here this morning for a 96 Buick Rivera

Bye Bye Baby

At the dealership in Topeka. I found it on Autotrader on 2/26/05 in the AM. It had only been traded in two days before and hasn't even been detailed or inspected for things to fix yet. So I'll pick her up Monday

Front view. I think it has DRL's which I don't really care for.

Fuzzy interior. Tan leather with a darker tan dash top. I'm going to get a wood grain dash kit for it later. Yup I'm becomming an old man.

It's a 96, but only has 44K miles. One owner (they smoked so it stinks in there a bit) but the car is tight. No dents or scratches, or door dings. Pretty near perfect as you can get for a 96. $9995. They gave me $1700 for the Contour which is about what I'd sell it for myself.

Weird! I've had the Tour since '98 and when I left the dealership and drove home a loaner it feld WEIRD.... Like losing a member of the family.

I'll take real pics of the Riviera when I get her home

Well, what do you think?

Nice car. Good pick. Kinda your father's Buick, but still nice nonetheless.

They are good cars, a friend of the family had one for several years, got 150k out of it or so, IIRC. Never had any major problems AFAIK either. 10 grand seems a bit steep though for a nearly 10 year old Buick.

I'm 34

I didn't pay $10K, I paid $8400 it's 10K after interest (older cars come with higher interest rates) I'm at 10% interest.
