Yes, but the trick is getting the bulb out of the black plastic bulb holder base once you have the bulb and holder in your hand. The new bulbs do not come with holders.
I don't have a good answer. The bulb will eventually pull apart from the holder but it takes patience and persistance. Once they are seperated, the new bulb plugs into the holder fairly easily.
When I had two of the eight bulbs burned out, I was about to replace all eight until I discovered how hard it was to seperate them. I only did the two that were burned out. That was about two or three years ago. I havn't had any more go out since then.
