If you want the Panasonic CQ-DF802U you have a good chance to save $50. That's including the $20 shipping charge.

I'm using that Pioneer deck right now. Lots and lots and lots of features (some you'll probably never use). Sound is good, mp3 access is a little slow 5-8s per song, mp3 playback is good.

Haven't had so much as a hiccup in the last 8 months since I've bought it. The Organic EL display can be a little busy to some but has some great visual displays.

8-9 seconds loading time PER SONG?! Did u type that wrong? Cuz that is insanely slow considering there are around 150 mp3s on one cd-r! Mine takes like 3-5 seconds to load everything

It seems to take 5-8s to read the format for an mp3 CD. When playing songs, it takes 3-5s to load the next song.

alpine, Alpine, ALPINE!

Simply the best, most reliable, long lasting HU's on the market.
Of course the trade off is they may not have all the fancy features.
7 years and still running strong on my Alpine.
Everything still functions fine.
I'll miss my HU when I repalce it with a DVD/CD player.
