Okay, back on components one again. What would you all choose in your opinions... Remember i'm all Sound Quality. Also mainly in the 6.5" size.

MB quarts
Boston Acoustics
Crystal Mobile Sound
Infinity (Reference)
Focal
Polk Audio

I'm mainly trying to stay under $200 for a component set.

Well i was going to say Boston Acoustics but if you want to stay under 200 bux than you're gonna have to go to something cheaper.

all are very nice speakers in that list if you ask me, but why post some of those then say "under 200$"?

if thats true, say goodbye to MB quart, boston and focal, 6.5 components will be more than that for them. polks are okay but i usually look to polk when i want a quality pair of cheap speakers, not when im looking for my mail component set (not knocking them, just saying im not impressed by their top lines, but their lower lines are very competetive for price).

i personally am a fan of the infinity reference series, and a 6.5 set would fit in your budget. crystal is also very good and will fit your price too if you shop around.

Cost of a great speaker system:
Peerless CSC-X 6.5's....75.00 a pair at Madisound
Vifa DN26 series........50.00 a pair at Madisound
Sounstream 5.3 Xovers...30.00 a pair at Parts express

Total...................155.00 dollars

Great listening for a budget: Priceless!!!

I'd go with some Focal's.

6.5 "Focal Upgrade Special" from www.zalytron.com - $130

Soundstream Exact 5.3 X-overs from www.partsexpress.com - $30

Total Cost - $160

Incredible mids and great highs. You'll want a sub in your system, though, as the bass is a little weak. And, you can only surface mount the tweets.

Either of the last two options are very good, as are the Crystal components.

I agree with joel, but you'll have to shell out more than 2 C-notes. If you look at the quality of boston acoustics,it's worth the investment.

I have the crystals and enjoys them very much. Can't go wrong for the price. I also have the infinity reference series in another vehicle and like those as well. New model has a lot more kick too!
