will carpeting the inside of a box- kill any/much of your sound- jlAudio 10w0's (2) in ban-pass ported thru back deck-??

Why would you want to carpet inside the box? You can do it (bandpass boxes usually have carpeting in the front of the box). I don't think it would affect sound much if any.

Do you want to dampen vibrations? If so, try acoustical foam or carpet padding.

sorry for not explaining better- the rear of the box is 3/4" plexi- and inside the box now it is painted-with a carpeted cover panel with large window openings- ( just outside the plexi)- but I am tired of it- and thought it would be nice to add carpet- inside to match the rest of the trunk- - between the plexi back and the rear area of the trunk on the floor is a ppi amp flush mounted- with a carpeted cover panel-
i have picts- but no server to put them up- but it would be easier explain-]
but you dont think it would deaden any sound- of muffel any- cool-
