Nice amp. I just hope i doesn't fry from the sun mounted on the deck. Or get any attention from those who like borrowing without asking.

I wouldn't mount it upside down. It can't shed heat effectively. Heat = distortion = crappy sound = reduced output. It could fry itself without thermal protection circuits too.

Suspending it beneath the rear deck with a few inches of air above it should be enough for ventilation.

Yes, mounting an amp upside down is bad.

yeah, always face it either face up or with the heat sinks running vertically, so that they can dissipate properly

one of my amps shut down from heat for the first time ever today, it was such a hot day and the air in the car was easily over 100 degrees, so i wasnt suprised it shut down when i opened my trunk and could have nearly burned my hand on the housing eek thats one spicy meatball

THAT'S WHY MY AMP FIRED, it died two weeks after after mounting it upside down,... mad mad mad

the friking thing got so overloaded that it took the speakers with him.....
