Can someone give me a quick guide on how to tell if I have a return type fuel pump or returnless? I saw two fuel lines under the car going to the tank, but I can't tell for sure in the engine compartment. I lost track of the fuel line in all the clutter and the fact I am in my nice work cloths so I can't get too dirty.

It is the V6 Duratech - SVT. 1999 Model year so it makes it less definate based on model year.

Thanks.

Haw many Chrome fuel lines are going to the fuel rail under the UIM? Look around near the brake booster. If you see 2 it's return, 1 it's returnless.

Thanks for the help. It looks like the install is via the back seat. That doesn't sound too bad.

OK - Now that i am home and in some better clothes, I see one line in a bracket by the brake booster. The line is in a bracket designed for two lines so I think I will say I have a returnless type pump.

BTW - my car was built in August of '99 - perhaps we can pin down when the changeover was.

Thanks again for all the help.
