I have been searching through the junkyards around my area and have really only found 01+ Sable engines. I have searched through the archives a couple of times but have not found the answer I am looking for. Are the sable and the taurus engine the same. I found something about the water pump being different but is this going to be a problem with a 3L swap. I am looking at a 01 Sable with 29K on it, and wanted to make sure that it has the oval ports which I believe it does, and other than that its basically the same as the taurus, both differing from the escape with the center engine mount, wrong timing cover, and the older oil pan and components?
Thanks guys,
-Matt

All 01+ 3L Duratecs.

Even a few late year 2000's but they were such a FUBAR of parts bin clear outs you want to skip that year altogether.

What Obi said... We just had a meet in Rochester... Check the Northeast section once in a while as we're planning on having a bunch more meets...

I am from Barker, about 20 minutes north of Lockport. I work in Tonawanda at a race car fabrication shop. However I also go to college in Flint, MI I am in NY from Jan-March, and then from July-Sep. The other months I at college. But we have done some pretty sweet engine setups like a twin turbo 67 Shelby and such, so I am hoping to be able to make a few tricks happen when I finally make the plunge into starting this project.
