Hey Guys, After installing My PS2 and Screen in stuff in my car, I get some bad engine whine. Its worse than before I installed it. I ripped everything apart in the trunk to find new grounds and couldnt come up with anything. I have a cap installed and left the ground disconnected and put everythingg back till I have time to mess with it. Did I discharge the cap?? Do I need to buy more resistors to charge it up again or can I just reconnect the ground? Also I noticed when I disconnected the RCAs from the back of the deck...the whining stops!!.
How do I fix this? Do i have to ground the deck better or what?? Man, I am glad this forum is here.

wrap them in electrical tape. bet it stops!
Otherwise get better rca's and run them seperate from the power wires.

The RCA's are pretty good quality.... The Power wires are on a different side of the car...

i had the same problem with my isuzu and after i wrapped the rca and speaker wires with electrical tape it was all gone! If the power wire crosses the rca at any point wrap there as well.
like i said, it worked for me might not for you. worth a shot.

Is the inverter hooked up through the cig lighter or do you have it hard wired? That's a bad source for noise. I think osny make an adapter for the ps2? Problem may also be your tryin to change power to much 12v-120ac-12.
Try grounding the chassis of the inverter to the vehicle chassis this may help. Or you could try using a ground loop isolater on the RCA cables.
Only sugestions. These may or may not work. You could also try a different converter. You can always return it. Wish i could help more. Maybe someone else will chime in.
