to achieve the greatest channel separation what is best to use: 1) one four channel amp 2) two two channel amps 3) four one channel amps 4) two four channel amps bridged 5) four two channel amps bridged
remember all other issues like expense, space, setup time are considered unimportant
the issue here is channel separation not power output or impedance load ability.

Cheap, effective. Added expense for little to no improvement in performance. Even pricier, takes up more space, requires more wire/wiring hardware, difficult to find a mono amp that is not class-D. two four channel amps bridged No advantage over a single four channel amp. 5) four two channel amps bridged too much money, no advantage.

Dave what about the channel separation issue that I wanted to address by having multiple versus single amps?!?!

It would not be noticeable, and what little difference may exist, isn't worth the money.

Two 2 channel amps (one for front, one for rear) is more versitale than a single four channel amp setup. But only if the system was to be used for competition. For street use, a single 4 channel amp is the best overall option.

i concur. any overlap in the channels would not be noticable. you are more likely to pick up noise from other sources like wiring.

Tell me bacoSVT and Sleeper have you guys ever bi-amped a component system? The pioneer Tsp-682 can be biamped I understand where a two channel amp would be used for the tweeter and a two channel amp would be used for the midbass driver. You know a tube amp for the high range and a mosfet amp for the midbass.

if you see my post, i am thinking about the same thing. bi-amping the front stage. not sure what i'll do. my budget is about $300 to modify the whole system. it sounded pretty good in the GL, but i want it to be just a notch better in the SVT.

You'll need a separate x-over (like the SS Exact 5.3) and a soldering iron to make the necessary modifications.
