I have a Dell 4600 Dimension Desktop and I've determined through their website and my service tag that this is the kind of memory I need.
Installed is only the original 256MB of 184-pin PC3200 memory that came with the PC and I have trouble viewing any pr0n thread with more than 60 high-quality photographs. It's time to upgrade, but I don't know where to get more. Where do you buy YOUR memory?
As a token of my appreciation, I will send pictures of chicks from my dorm to whomever can show me the best deal. Clothing to be determined.

www.newegg.comI buy all of my computer stuff there now. In my experience, they have some of hte best customer service around and the prices are either the best, or within a couple bucks.

Check out www.pricewatch.com and check it out. Keep away from the generic RAM, though...

How do I find out if that's completely compatable with my system? I've listed above what I thought was all the necessary information, but I don't know if I'm supposed to use 64Mx64-bit or what "CL3" is.
For example, I don't know how to decipher the following: The components on each module include sixteen 32M x 8-bit (8M x 8-bit x 4 Bank) DDR400 SDRAM in TSOP packages.
On the parts description on the Dell site, it says I'm using part number F0596 DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 128(x2), 333M, 16X64, 8K, 184
A quasi-breakthrough: Dell also says that the Logical Type is 16x64 and that I use non-ECC units.

There are sixteen 32Megabyte chips on there, for a total of 512MB.
I think 4 banks is reminiscent of the old days with 30 pin ram (1 bank each, 8 bit). 72 pin was 2 bank each, and 168+ are 4 bank each (I'm guessing at least...).
