During my weekly (weekend) commute from Lehigh valley to West chester, PA yesterday, on 476, around the lansdale exit I was in the left lane doing about 75-80 w/ traffic and quicker than I could react there was a brick of concrete in front of my passenger side tires. I had to run over it since I was boxed in my cars all around.

About 5 miles down the road my car started making a horrible grinding noise so I pulled over at an emergency stop area (near one of the gates that emergency vehicles enter at you probably know it if you travel the NE extension enough) and of course my tire was flat. Upon further inspection I saw that my rim was also cracked you could probably fit an apple though the size of the hole it created.

I called AAA and daddy. AAA showed up put on the spare (It was cold!). After AAA left dad showed up and escorted me to the nearest store and noone could really do anything since I had no wheel, No tire and no where to get one. I ended up finsihing the trip to west chester on the spare. Now for my dillema

I called the local yards around 12:30 to find a rim, noone has one. Called the local tire/auto stores and noone has steel rims....
So now I might have to wait until monday to get a new rim/tire so i can go home to work. I guess it's not so bad that I get stuck at the g/f's apartment.

I'll get pics up later
Xoom

I would imagine the wheel would fit. Contour owners have put SVT wheels on older Contours so I'm guessing that all 15" wheels should fit.

It'll fit. Same bolt pattern, all years.

It'll fit for sure . On non-SVT Contours , anything goes , 14"-15"16" . IIRC , the "proper" size for 15" Contique tires is 205/60/15 ... so neither one has the correct size tire on it (althought running the "55's" shouldn't matter that much - your speed will just register faster) .

Sorry to hear 'bout your dilemma .

Problem solved.

My dad drove down this morning we put the tire/rim on. Now I have to get ahold of a rim and see what i can do about a tire. Car-part.com should come in handy.

Thanks for your support
