Took the panels off today to get an idea of how much room I have to work with on my install. The cutout is standard for our 6 x 8's. The depth from the surface where the current speaker mounts flush against to the back window is 3" give or take several 32ds.

The stock speakers are horse chit.
chek out the "do not use if dropped" on the back. That's Ford quality ASSurance for ya
check it out

I'm going to douse mine in gasoline and set them ablaze. I'll make a mpg and post it later.

My stock speakers were 22 watts and didn't say don't use if dropped. What year did those come out of?

Do you have a dog? If so make him poop on the smoldering mass after you're done burning.

Heheh... you should see what I did with mine... laugh

I wired them up one by one to my sub amp (500 watts RMS, crossover set at 85 Htz and under) and cranked some bass heavy Snoop dogg tracks. eek

The first one didn't last very long....

We were disappointed in the limited excursion of the first one, so I ended up cutting the surround on the second one first as to increase X-max for deeper bass. It didn't last very long either.... :p

$36 bucks, you got to be kidding me.
Maybe I'll light them on fire while they are hooked up to the sub amp, and then let the dog crap on them.
Just trying to satisfy everyone.
