Is there any differenc between this Deadener and Dynamat eXtreme? Has anyone used the generic and noticed any difference?


1998 Silver Frost SVT
Purchased 01/10/02
Mods so far:
-Fidanza aluminum flywheel
-Clutch upgrade
-Clarion ProAudio system, DSP, 13 Band EQ

Future mods:
-Intake upgrade
-Performance plug wires
-Autolite double platinums
-Konig 18 X 7.5 Toxxin's
-Koni's and Eibach coil overs
-Rockford amps, 3 12" Rockford subs, etc..
(Just needs to be installed)

IMHO,
one layer of Sound Deadener vs. one layet of Dynamay Extreme = Dynamat will work better
If you're going multiple layers, you won't notice.
Dynamat is better at stoping vibration, when comparing small peieces of the two material.
It depends on how much and where you plan to use it.

That looks remarkably like this . Which costs 99.00 per 100sq ft roll....

It looks like it would be very similar to dynamat extreme, and at the price, there is no contest. The peel and seal wins.
