OP Mark Donahue New CEG\'er M Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 12	My resonator recently rusted or produced a hole. In any case I need to get a new one and I'm curious if anybody has any suggestions on a decent sounding unit that won't break the bank. Also, how difficult is it do do yourself with out a lift, a muffler shop said it would run $300 after all is said and done. Thanks

ConnContour_dup1 CEG\'er C Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 57	One thing I wouldn't try doing is removing the resonator and replacing with a straight pipe. I run a dual exhaust with Magnaflows out back. When I had a straight pipe out back, I lost a lot of throttle response. Also car was just plain too loud. Sounds weird about the throttle response, but I think that the car needs some sort of backpressure. My Contour is a 97, GL Duratec with at ATX. 192K
