im gonna do 3 mods this weekend...and ill post pics and tutorials after i get done for the people who dont know how to do it and want to.

1. atx cooler install

2. headlight mod

3. grill mod

i have done alot of looking around up here and seen pictures of the head light mods so im gonna attempt to do that this weekend. where i remove the yellow reflector and paint the inside. im also installing a atx cooler to prolong the life of my atx until i get the money to install a mtx. last but not least im gonna install screen in my grill i have seen people install gutter-guard and other stuff into there grills. im gonna attempt to install metal screen material like for doors and such. i will post pictures and do tuts. for the noobs that are new to this sort of thing. i have modded computers for a long time so i know how to use a dremel and such tools. not saying cars are anything like comps but same principle. ill post more this weekend. i you pull apart the lights to do the reflector make sure you seal it back good. i did it on my stang a the buld stuck out like a sore thumb.

By grill mod, do you mean painting the oval ring? If you do, I hope you sand the [censored] out that to get the chrome off, becuz if you dont, you will have chipping like no other within the first month of the painted oval. The best way to do this tho, is to soak the ring in muratic acid for 2-3 weeks, yea it takes a while, but it works the best at getting the chrome off. Or, just get some sand paper, sit infront of the TV, and go to town.

The guy I have do all my paint work sanded mine.. Didn't take it down to the bare plastic, just ruffed it up really good.. Then prime and paint.. I haven't had any problems with mine to date..

no the chrome ring is gonna stay. im taking out the black part in the middle of it and putting in screen. as for the headlights there a numerous pictures up here of a guy doing them. HtR

For my headlights (clear corner mod), I used a Cotter-pin extractor on one of them, and it worked like a charm...no drilling. I did have to drill on the second one though, and it was no big deal. So I tried both methods, and they both work, but I do have to say the cotter-pin extractor is MUCH easier if you can get away with doing both.
