wow thanks guys, that makes quite a bit of sense. my plugs and wires are not stock, i didnt replace the wires, that was before i got the car, but they arent motorcraft, they are pretty nice 8mm wires that seem to be real new. the plugs are autolite double platinums all across. i was thinking about doing the 4 qt tranny flush anyway since i dont know the condition of the fluid, so ill do that and really try to get the pcv valve out. problem is, i have no jack to get the car up right now, ours broke, so i need to either find one or go buy one.
btw i spent hours a couple weeks ago trying to get the pcv valve out different ways and was unsuccesful. i tried under the car, and couldnt get the exhaust manifold out of the way, going by my chiltons manuals directions. then i tried the way on here and couldnt figure it out.
