I just picked up two 12" JL Audio W3 subs, and a nice alpine head unit w/ a custom plexi glass box w/ some neons in it for a great price, but I'm missing one thing, an amp... what should I get and what am I looking to drop? In advance, I appreciate any help you guys give me, I'm a car audioo newbie!

Go get 'em Honkey!!!
BTW, a budget would help draw out some suggestions.
And, posts here in the audio forum don't turn over too quickly in here (sometimes a lot longer than 35 mins for a single reply).

Actually I haven't been out amp shopping for a long time so my advice would be useless and outdated, just being me man Here goes though... Alpine JVC USAcoustics PPI a/d/s McIntosh Kicker Rockford Fosgate Xtant Audiobahn Clarion JL These manufacturers make good amps Buy tham all and keep only the one you like the best. Send the others to me

Honkey, since your ZX5 can't fit all of those amps, whichever ones you are leftover that he gives you, you could give it to me :p

by a mono amp strong enough to push your subs and make sure it has a cooling fan.try kenwood, they make a few nice mono amps, decently priced. mono amps are made to push subs.
