Why would he want to take such a step backwards in his plans?

Being that I only have two ears I would put just two speakers in (a speaker could be either coaxial or 2/3 way components) and of course a subwoofer.

Seriously, it's been done in the Hot Rod community for eons. Bowtie powered Fords are everywhere. Chevy makes a damn good V8, deal with it.
Why go with a carbureted pushrod crate engine with a blower when I can buy a used LS1 and play with it? If I did stick to Ford, I would go with a modular engine, but then I get to watch my mileage plummet and my parts costs skyrocket. Istead of replacing a cam, I get to replace four, etc... The LS1 aftermarket is rediculously large. Should I decide to put a TT setup on the LS1 in a few years after the initial install, the gains on a large pushrod small block Chevrolet engine are astronomical even on 92 octane.
Make a little more sense now? I'm no Ford fanboy. I just happen to have owned a couple good cars.

Then why did you start that conversation?
Me: Here are my previous setups... on a side note I'm almost done, gonna put an engine in my car instead of buying more audio equipment
You:Lets stir [censored] up! Like, no way, get Ford stuff man yeah!
Me:No, brief explanation for LS1
You: Hey why are we talking about this, besides the fact that I commented on it? DUH!
The thread became about engines because you made it become about engines, understand lil' guy? You screwed up your own topic
That said however, I agree with Tempe. A few quality speakers properly powered will always sound better than 40 decent speakers piled into any flat surfaces.

You should be, you're completely missing out if you limit yourself to one make.
If I limited myself to Alpine for instance, I'd have a good HU but I could do better for the rest of my system. I love Alpine but they aren't the best at everything.
I love my Fords, but GM makes awesome small blocks and awesom automatic transmissions. Ford makes good V8s too but I'd rather use the bowtie in my application. I'd do the same thing if I was putting a V8 in any car.
