Just saw this car onlin the outher day and it looks like ford is trying to replace the contour it stoped making. since the focus is too small and the ford 500 to expensive to fill the gap they left when they stoped the contour. New Contour?

Ford isn't trying to replace the contour. The mondeo is still made in Europe and would just be brought here if they wanted. Ford is just making new cars and selling them. That's the business they're in. They've stopped many other cars and there is always a new car made after that car is stopped. I wish people would quit trying to figure out the replacement to the contour.

The polished aluminum finish was for the Detroit show. Certainly attracted attention, and highlighted the choice of materials.
