I need a new car. I am tired of the SVT. I am also completely sold on the fact that FWD sucks for makeing power and putting it to the ground. I don't want to waste any more money modding this car so I have been looking for a new ride. I have looked at Subaru's and am considering the WRX. I have seen quite a few SVT owners perform this switch. Have any good site links or info on the WRX Garret, Brad?? Any word on when the Lancer Evo will hit the shores? Any other cars for around 30 grand that have caught your eyes? Thx...
Anybody want to buy a perfectly good 99 Contour SVT?

Cobb Tuning Vishnu Performance (with Stage 0 30-50hp gain at the wheels) For the last time -- if you are looking at the sunvisors in the WRX for quality -- this car is not for you. Also, have you ever seen a leather seat in any modern race car? WRC, NASCAR, NHRA, BTCC, NTCC, IRL, etc etc etc........? I like not sliding all over the place like in the G/F's Jetta GLX. IMHO.. :p Isn't the EVO VII due in 2003? STi should be shortly thereafter...... PLUS, SCC just tested a stage zero WRX upgrade that made 41 more HP at the wheels and 33 lb/ft torque more. From an uppipe, pulley, chip, and colder plugs. Went from a baseline of 167HP / 167TQ to 208HP and 200TQ. For $1000...... And the HP never dropped below 175 from peak to redline. Yummy........ Ed

Convinced FWD isn't a platform to put power to the wheels? Tell that to my Daytona, I hook up easy in that car, maybe cause I have a two stage boost controller and on launch I don't go above 7 psi..but still, takes a little more work but you can do it. But as far as new car goes, wait for the EVO....

Nice interior...??? Yes the seats are comfy..But what the hell color is that...I could take a 73 landcruiser and throw leather seats in it and that would be nice interior? I think the weak ass transmission and boost limited high compression motor are more of my selling points.
