Contour Enthusiasts Group Archives Forums Modifications Audio Question on Infinity Kappa C.M.M.D....

I have Infinity Kappa 652.3i (6 3/4") and 572.3cf (5" x 7"/6" x 8") in my Escort, and I put them in with a little difficulty... I was wondering if these would fit in my Mystique, any ideas? I was going to put the rounds in the front, and ovals in the back... Also, anyone know if the Kenwood w00x sub would put in the armrest area of the back seat if I took the armrest out? Thanks a bunch in advance!

If the Mystiques have the same speaker setup as the Contours then all the door speakers are 5x7/6x8 so any speaker that size should just pop right in, provided they do not have a mounting depth larger than stock. In that case you can use a spacer of some sort to raise it a little. They might fit in fine with no spacer but if the mounting depth is larger the windows will rub when rolled down and if you have tint it will scratch it or scratch your window.

Not sure about the 6.5s but you will probably need to construct a baffle of some sort (mdf works well) to mount the speaker to and then mount the baffle to the stock bolt/screw positions in your Mystique.

Sorry don't know about the armrest thing.

Okay so the best route would be to just roll down the window and see how it fits? Does anyone know the mounting depth of Contiques? I really love these speakers and spent a lot of money on them, I hope I can put them in my new car! Thanks a lot for the help!
