Can someone tell me how to take out the rear seat of my 00 SVT? Do I have to take the backrest portion of the seat to get the bottom cushion out? I'm wanting to run some wiring to the trunk. Whats the best way to remove the seat so I can do this? Thanks. smile

I don't know about the 00, but on my 96 you can fit wires to the trunk without removing the seat. You just get one person in the back and another in the trunk and squeeze them through the corner of the seat. We got a power cable, rca cable, and another smaller wire through to the trunk. See if you can find a place to squeeze them through.

There are fasteners on the front corners. Lift up on the front of the seat, and you can see them. Use a screwdriver and pop the metal "U" coming down from the seat out of the white plastic fasteners. Then, push the seat towards the trunk to release it from the rear hooks. You can then pop it right out. You'll need a Torx bit to undo the belt which comes down for the middle passenger.
