im sorry to hear enterprise got cancled man... the only good part about it is that sci fi has been working on a new Quantum Leap about Sam Becketts daughter leaping in time to find him, Scott Bacula was going to just be in the first episode but maybe this means he will have more time to put twords that because it just wont be the same without him! Now whos the bigger dork lol!
I dont know anything about cars, but Im dumb enough to play with them anyways... thats why I'm here

04-FEBRUARY-05 Enterprise Won't Be Shopped
Rick Berman, executive producer of UPN's just-canceled Star Trek: Enterprise, told SCI FI Wire that Paramount is not shopping the series to another network in the hope that it will remain on the air past its anticipated May 13 series finale on UPN. The studio considered that option last year, when the fate of Enterprise hung in the balance, but UPN ultimately renewed the struggling series for a fourth and now last season.
"One of the greatest things that Paramount has offered us over the last 18 years has been the kinds of budgets that have allowed us to produce the show at the quality that it's been done," Berman said in an interview hours after the official announcement was made by UPN. "The budget that all of our Star Trek series have demanded are the kinds of budgets that would be prohibitive on cable. So as of now the powers-that-be seem to feel it's time to give the franchise a rest, and I think it's most likely a good idea."
Sources told SCI FI Wire that the show costs as much as $1.6 million per episode to produce, for which UPN paid about half. To win renewal last year, Paramount cut its fee to UPN, which resulted in some cost-cutting, which included shooting the series on high-definition digital video instead of film.

Star Trek is lame. Trekkies are the lamest people on earth. well, 2nd actually, I just saw on the news the other night a bunch of people at the 10th annual Xena convention!
anyone see Galaxy Quest? LOVED that movie. perfect Star Trek satire.
Star Trek aint got NOTHIN' on STAR WARS!!! puhleez!! although, I have to admit that the "android" which is basically a dude painted piss-yellow could probably kick Chewy's butt but not Vadar! and the death star could just wipe out the Enterprise in flash!
bringing Quantum Leap back would be cool, if they don't f*ck it up! I didn't get into the original until the re-runs aired but then ended up really liking it. very original.
ps to the trek fans in here, the original was good, naturally, but i think TNG was even better. Captain Picard was much better than the always over-acting Kirk. Deeana Troi (sp?) was hot! big bozongas

TNG was great. Best of Both Worlds two parter episodes amongst others were my favorites. Watching the Borg Cube pass right through the Mars defense missles (with that heavy paced drum music).. it used to give me chills when I was a kid. There was a comparison once that a star destroyer tactically would lose to the Enterprise, because of transporters and the Destroyers lack of backup systems. I'd say the Death Star would chew the Borg a new one, though And as for the who would win, Chewy or Data- I think you're comapring the wrong ones. It should be Chewy or Worf. If anything, Data should be compared to Vader, or Grievous in upcoming Episode 3.

I was never a star trek fan but I've never mocked it either. Anything with a following that huge and devoted MUST be great. -a
