You mean straight down a 1/4 mile? Not through the woods and mountains with trees and dropoffs and much longer course. Just stating the differences. Both are dangerous, both are fun, it sucks when either one can't reach its full potential.

and why were group c rally cars gotton rid of because of one to many driver deaths when turbos boosted power up and beyond the control of the drivers then. OF course the heat the turbos generated ignited any and everything when there was even a minor accident.

I thought it was because you had to use gears and go around loads of tight hairpin bends on cliffs.
Seriously though, can you think of many places in the States that have the right sorts of roads?
Must be a rush being on onlooker running away from a wreck flying at you through the air at some 80mph though!
