Mustang? New model? Only the v6 would be close to any of those price ranges, and right now with markup, it may not even be close. And then it would be a v6. I think you've got too much wishful thinking going on there fmr.

My aunt just bought a brand new Solara convertible and that thing is a beauty. Screw that it looks "feminine". The car is amazing. Of course, it's $29K amazing...

I hated how the Grand Prix drove. It's a shame when the older design is a better car (handling, fit and finish, room, comfort, and style).
It was already said, but I'll agree with that. My dad has a GTP, and it's pretty quick. But it doesn't corner as well as I thought it would and the inside is real tight, especially in the passenger seat. I'm only 5'10" and I found it uncomfortably tight.
One thing for sure though, that is a good looking car.

ATX? MTX? I don't like the Pontiac, lack of a manual plus the fact that their handling leaves something to be desired. I'd stay away from the 'dub as well. I don't think their QC is where it needs to be anymore and they aren't cheap to repair either. From your list I would probably go with either the Mazda of the FSVT, maybe the Mazda because of the better resale but I don't think you could really go wrong with either. Quote:

The new mustang v6 looks like it might not suck as much as the old ones. C/D managed to squeeze a 15.3 out of it with an automatic no less. Once the "rush" ends this would probably be in his price range.

Actually, an ATX is sounding better all the time. Guess I'm in my boulevard cruise stage, but just letting the car do all the work sure sounds nice.
However, ATX's 4 cylinders are weak so....
Right now it's Mazda3 then GP then TC.
Can't wait till March's autoshow so I can judge side by side, seat of the pants.

indeed. a stock 1.8T has 180hp, and with revo that can shoot up to 210-225 range. and revo is only about 500-600 bucks, if that.

You will regret the VW.... when the car starts falling apart.. literally when pieces start to fall off, break and the engine starts leaking oil, the windows falls into the door in 25 degree weather, the seat retractor breaks so you can't go in the backseat and the air condition stops in 100 degree weather. Im talking from experience. Go Scion... reliability and huge aftermarket.

wow they ran a 15.3? with a new 05 auto mustang? so that means the 5 speed might be able to hit high 14's?!?! thats not bad for a v6 mustang if you ask me!
