i have a 98 contour with the ztec engine, 4 cyl. lately everytime it snows and i hit the brakes when the antilock kicks in it blows the fuse under the hood. this also blows out the heater blower, so apparently they are connected for some strange reason. i replaced the fuse 5 times so far, but everytime i hit the brakes the fuse keeps blowing out and i keep losing the heater blower. a real pain in the winter time! any ideas why the fuse keeps blowing? thanx

Inspect your connection where the wires come into the fuse box, usually above the drivers feet. On my 1995 model I found a 4-cavity plug that I found to be melted & corroded. It caused a no blower situation for me since I don't have anti-locks, but the anti-locks come thru that same connector.
