Ok. I have two questions. 1). This evening, I was going to attempt to replace the factory headlights on the 99 SE. On the driver's side, I unscrewed the two screws and started wiggling the headlight assembly out. I worked for like 10 minutes on trying to get the headlight assmebly out so I could change the headlights, but to no avail. Are there more screws that I couldn't see? (Keep in mind it was kinda starting to get dark and I was at a friends house and he had no kind of light for me to use to get a better look.)Now it is totally dark and a flashlight doesnt seem to be helping any.
2.) So I decided that I would get on here to try to find a solution to my problem, but I didn't find it. But in searching, luckily, I did find that some people have melted the headlight housing using 50W bulbs? So I assume the Halogen 100W bulbs that I bought (didnt know they were 100W when I bought them. I assumed they were about 50 or 55.) are maybe a lil much. Is there a medium betweem 37W and 55W I can buy? Where? Part #? Brand? (I've heard good things about Sylvania Silverstars, I just don't quite know the perfect amount of wattage to use.) Thanks in advance for any help.

i have a 95 so i have the smaller pre 98 light style so this might not apply to u. i dont have to remove any screws to change the headlights just a 1/4 twist counterclockwise and thay come out fine. i just did mine yesterday i used the silverstars and i find them to be good but i dont think thay are worth 3x the price of the OEM ones.

1)There is 3 bolts retaining the headlamp assembly.

2)The 37W that you are talking about are use for the foglight, and when you use 50W you might have melting problem. The low beam is, if i remember correctly 55W and the high beams are 65W.
100W looks pretty high. Do a little search and you might find answer for this question about the highest wattage that you can use in your low and high beam.

Nic.
