Has anybody had any luck with finding out how to do this? I just put in a pair of new batteries in my transmitter, and I still had to be closer than 5 feet of my car for it to work. Is there an antenna to add, wire to stretch, or do I just have to get an aftermarket keyless entry?

Hold it under your jaw and use your head for an antenae... Laugh but it works!

Mine works from maybe 20-30 feet with new batteries. The range has ALWAYS SUCKED!

I tried it at a meet, there were like 5 or 6 of us doing it. We got the strangest looks but it does work. So aim the key fab under your chin into your head and then extend your arm and point at your car... the range gets better LOL!

Damned Nazi's....

I read an article on this "trick" in a science mag the other week. I have horrid memory, but it is proven, something to do with the bone density and structure, serving as an "antenna"

Sounds fun. Maybe I'll try this when there aren't groups of people around me. There wouldn't be any wire I can tap into to add an extra antenna?

I believe the antenna runs up the front right pilliar... in that vacinity. The antenna connects to the module behind your glove box. The plug looks identical to your stereo's antenna plug. I have been playing with some things on my old car. I can do it from like 6-7 houses down. Not sure if its affecting anything yet.

It works without giving the Hitler salute.

What about this device?

http://rattailantenna.com/

With the add-on module group buy going on, I'd really like to be able to get some decent range on my keyless.

Any radio experts?

Steven

why do you need to be able to unlock your doors from a mile away? You still need to get right next to it before you get in it. I could maybe see having a good sized range if you lived in the snow and had remote start.
