Lately I've been haveing problems with my ATX; things like premature shifting, inability to find the right gear, unwillingnes to downshift etc. But my question really isn't tranny related, it's more to do with the IMRC. I felt like I was loosing power, sporadically, throughout by daily drive, so I decided to see if the secondaries were opening. After performing about 10 "tests", I concluded that they were only opening about 25% of the time. So, my question is, could the secondaries not opening have to do with the fact that sometimes my tranny does not "downshift" when floored, resulting in a slow "chug" and a lack in power? Also, should I replace my IMRC because it only appears to be working 1/4 of the time.

As for the IMRC, it sounds like it is failing. You will likely have to get a new one. Check ebay, classifieds or try calling up Bill Jenkins. They are pretty expensive. Someone on here might have one they are willing to sell you.

The tranny issue i'm not sure about. Try searching in the tranny section.

I doubt that the two are related though.
