i have a 96 GL and i am trying to get the headunit out..i need to know how to get the trim ring off from around the AC controls and the headunit..

uh, you don't have to remove that, just go to walmart and get yourself some Ford DIN Removal tools...they stick into the 4 little holes in the stock radio, and it'll pull it right out.
