I got a flat in my front passenger side wheel while going to work the other day. Work is only two miles away and I didn't realize I had the flat until I pulled into the lot, when my driver side wheel started spinning like crazy to compensate for the flat. After this my ABS light came on and has remained even after I got new tires. Is there really something wrong or did the excessive wheel spin on my driver's side trigger something?

Nothing? I searched for ABS in troubleshooting but nothing similar to what happened in my situation...

You may have damaged the ABS sensor wiring on that brake caliper. Check the one in the rear if the front checks out OK.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Hate to sound uneducated, but, I am in this case. I know "damaged" means "screwed", but can it be damaged and not be visible? Thank you for the reply, BTW.

Just a thought, before you throw money at it... Try resetting the computer. To do this, just unplug the negative terminal on the battery and leave it disconnected for a little while. I'm not sure how long it takes to reset it. I usually leave mine disconnected for at least 10 mins...

I've already reset the PCM by pulling fuses #4 and #11, and the light remained on. I will check the sensors before I go to work.

Yes, it can be damaged & difficult to notice. The wire may have been pinched or impacted in a way that pulls a break in the wire, but the insulation may only appear to be scuffed. That happening with multi-strand wire would be freakish though...

You can do that pretty easy with telephone wires, just bend them back & forth till the copper wire breaks, but the insulation looks fine.

I really don't know what else to tell you. I don't know much about ABS systems...
