Where can I find out what all the wires are for in the factory wiring harness i.e. (What color wires are what). I DO NOT HAVE PREMIUM SOUND. I tried to search the archives, but I got bored...
I am trying to install an older Alpine CDM-7833 in my contour. I can figure most of it out by playing around, but I would like to be sure on everything.

I just wired mine yesterday =) (96 Contour)..
Sorry i don't have colors, but i have pin locations if that helps..
Here's how i did it:

Two seperate Plugs, 1 for Speakers, 1 for Pwr.

(Red Side Left) (Black Side Right)
(Top [looking straight on with Red-Left])
1 Front Left +
2 Front Left -
3 Rear Left +
4 Rear Left -
5 Front Right +
6 Front Right -
7 Rear Right +
8 Rear Right -
(Bottom)

(Red Side Left) (Black Side Right)
(Top [looking straight on with Red-Left])
1 +ACC
2 [unused]
3 +12V
4 [unused]
5 [unused]
6 Ground
7 [unused]
8 [unused]
(Bottom)

On the Power plug i wired my +ACC to Pin 1.
It works perfectly for me, but i've been told it's actually Pin 2 (too lazy to resolder),
so.. who knows..
