I have discovered a couple of oil leaks on a 95 Contour 2.0 with automatic transmission. There is one around the bolts that hold the pan to the tranaxle. The other is a bit tougher. When I changed the oil, the shaft that the oil filter screws onto came out. I put into the filter and then put back on the engine. The second leak seems to be coming from the area around the filter. I have torqued the pan bolts. I did notice a small amount of oil on the filter but never saw it actually leaking.
