Does the Automatic transmission require the Friction Modifier to be added? I added some to my ATX last time I did a drain/fill, and am afraid I've done a Very Bad Thing(TM) Thanks guys..

The Friction Modifier is used so the syncros can "bite" better and equalize shaft speed quicker. That is why a certain amount of FM is a must when using synthetic fluid. The torn up spider gears are because the design and materials used are piss poor quality. It has nothing to do with friction modifier. 2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
