E-brake is sticking whats new eh

but my question is if i disconnect the right side (sticking side) and leave the left side connected will it still function enough to hold me in place.

my festiva had a cable running from the right side to the left side and if i disconnected the right side, the left side ceased to function is it the same way on the mystique?

Disconnecting one side and still using the p-brake will not work, the cables are connected in a 2 to 1 fashion so to speak... disconnecting one side would unbalance the cable where the 2 to 1 plate is and the other side would most likely disengage after a while, if not the first time you used the p-brake. You can however disconnect the sticking side and not use the p-brake... just leave your car in gear

have to dissagree, I had to cut one cable and the drivers side was more then enough to hold the car and there was no problem with using the brake

but i wouldn't do it for long either

my driver side sticks in cold weather. i have the new ebrake cable kit ready to install but its too damn cold to do the job. i've been using a screwdriver to pop the lever on the caliper but i really cold weather its stubborn. so i've had to resort to not using the ebrake and keeping it in gear. kinda hate doing this but it'll be temporary
