With the setup i have right now, i hit 147.4db, with 1000wrms. We don't have much competitions here, so i don't know about sound quality. I got JL subs, and MB for the front. I have yet to upgrade even more in my system.
Give me more beer and CEG before i get depressed!

had it tested at CC for $15 they actually charge for testing SPL? Here, they do it for free. Especially if they know you love car audio.

yeah, that's unfortunate. shipping probably kills you. If you didn't mind making your own crossovers, the money you could save on making your own components may make up the difference in shipping.

My setup last week:
Eclipse 7002 A/D/S P850 MB Quart 4" in center console MB Quart tweets in pillar 8" Infinity 80f in the doors Pioneer 6x8 rear fills 3 JL audio 12w7's in the trunk 3 MMats D300HC modded amps
163.1 DB's
This weeks, and hopefully the final setup I will have:
Clarion VRX925VD Clarion DVH920 Clarion VCZ635 McIntosh 440m x2 4x50w + 2x100 Dynaudio System 240 7" and tweets Dynaudio System 360 8" 4" and tweets Dynaudio MW-150 5" McIntosh MCC602TM 300x2 @4ohm 600x2 @1ohm JL Audio 13w7 13" sub 1000 watts RMS
As far as what db's I will hit, I can only assume around the 145 mark, this system will be the ultimate SQ system, not SPL. I have sompeted in SPL for 7 years, this is the first try at SQ. I am sponsored for the JL and Clarion equipment. The McIntosh amps have cost me an arm and a leg, and my first born. The Dynaudio I have purchased most of it off of ebay all brand new except for the 5" mids.

Soundstream Ref404s (40W x 4 channels) --> Infinity REF605CS (6.5" w/ 1") --> Infinity REF5752CF (5"x7" two-way) The subs are housed in a ported band-bass box. The box was designed and tuned for the subs (1.75 cubic feet and tuned to optimize 32-64Hz range).
My problem is not the setup but has something to do with the car, my RTA line drops 6dB between 500 and 1kHz. This is also causing my a 12dB loss on SPL. Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem? If its related to a something on the car soaking up the energy at those frequencies. I have dynamat throughout almost all of the car. Just curious. Why did you feel the need for a Four.1, [with its high output] and a blt in the same set up? And yes, I'm fully aware of the benefits of each seperately. Also, why would you choose an amp known for its high current abilities [Ref 300], and then castrate it with resistors? You could've saved yourself a lot of hassel by just running the amp in two channel mode. Same output...or better. Ummm. 37.5 watts performing like 300???? Sorry. It's not. I used to have a pair of 300s, and other Ref. models as well. I can't bad mouth them a bit. My 300s were run in 2 ohm mono for over two years without a hiccup. I'll tell you this though, their power in this mode compared to their "per channel into 4ohm rating" of 37.5 watts [with high current switch "on"] is like nite and day. I honestly can't say that their "sound quality" suffered in the least on sub base program material either. Just my two cents...
