Hopefully someone here can help me out. I'm finishing up installing a new motor and I can't find where one electrical connector goes. I can't seem to find my shop manual CD so I'm outta luck there.

It's a green connector with one wh/bk wire and one bn/ye wire. It's almost directly beneath the EGR. Any ideas? I can snap a picture if needed.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Edit: Sorry, this is for a '98 SVT.

Sounds like the connector for the temp sensor, under the TB.

Hey thanks for the reply Stazi. Do you mean the coolant temp sensor? There's already a white connector on that sucker, so I don't think that's it.

Maybe a picture will help?

On a side note, I can't find where this vacuum hose connects to either!

Thanks again for all the help. This whole new motor thing is a mess! I started it over a year ago then got called up to active duty...coming back to it a year later is kinda tough. I'm nearly done and I still have a bag of bolts and what not. Ooopps!

IIRC there's two sensors under the TB in the coolant pipe area, but when I look again at your pic. I can see that you don't have your IAC plugged in - does it go there (even though most Contours I've seen have black connectors for the IAC)?

That vac hose should connect to the brake vacuum assist. It should have another big black shiny hoes with a check valve on it that runs 90° to the hose pictured, and is a kind of U-shaped. You've plugged it into the wrong "elbow".
