Originally, I thought this problem was related to the "clattering on cold start" problem elsewhere on this site and dismissed it as such. Then I started to notice that the oil pressure light was on during the clattering start and then turned off when the clattering stopped....

My thoughts are the oil pump is screwed or almost screwed. Could I be right? Has anyone replaced an oil pump in a 2.5 SE MTX? From what I understand I have to take the timing chain off... Ewww...
