i hit an iceberg in the lot, had things on my mind and didn't see the ice rock. a part of my rear bumper by exhaust fell off and is bumper is cracked a few places. i don't think it's too hard a fix, i'll attempt a bondo fix if anything but i figure i'll get an estimate from a body shop first and get it done right.
there's a lot of collision shops along telegraph and van born area where i drive through to get to work. Does anyone in taylor have a good place they can recommend? if i pay for a shop to do the work i want it done by a good shop. i guess i'll try village ford also..
thanks stupid driver that needs backup sensors.

I'd let my dog do body work on my car before I'd let them... I've heard some HUGE horror stories about that joint. They've done fine work for me in the past on some warranty stuff, but you might want to ask Rara about his thoughts on Village...
I don't really have a recommendation on where you *should* go, I can only tell you where you shouldn't. Stay away from that Sterling Auto Body in Dearborn as well (next to Village). They're about at useless as a bent d*ck.

i'm going to try there tomorrow. thanx
went to a shop on telegraph north of van born, that works a lot on corvettes. real nice guy, quoted me 450 which is pretty good price. have to save up for that now while i attempt and try to work a miracle with bondo. hehe. village ford told me they wouldn't repair it, they'd get a new bumper, which needs to be painted $200 and installed $100 so total would be over $1k.--- forget that..

Dont use bondo, it will just crack. Get some epoxy urethane stuff. It's a little harder to work with but it works great and it will never crack.

That's a hefty little hole. Take the bumper off the car and take your time. It might help to get a couple thin strips of aluminum and rivet the broken piece back onto the bumper, then grind them down and fill.
Good luck

Yea...don't EVER go to village ord. EVER. You might as well have a blind man do your body work.
