The past couple of months I have been in the market for a 2nd P/T job and have had no luck. I already have a regular job and have been just looking for something on the side.

My main objectives would be:
A) Have fun/do something enjoyable.
B) Learn something new.
C) Meet some interesting people.
D) Make money.
E) Not be embarrased or feel stupid doing the new job.

I had a one night stint as a valet parking attendant and was also a tax preparer for a few days but neither panned out(Long Story). I was considering voluntering, but obviously would prefer to make some extra $$$.

Does anybody have any decent 2nd/p/t jobs, or have had in the past? Any interesting stories or ideas about them?

If you're looking to save some money, look for a place you'd shop often that offers a decent discount. I know Best Buy's is insane (something like 5% over cost), and there are many people that work a few hours at Wal-Mart each week primarily for the discount (10% off items, not including food, clothing or clearanced items ... not much, but it adds up quick if you shop there often). May not be the most enjoyable job in the world, but you'll meet a lot of new people and save yourself some of that hard-earned income.

Find a nice restaurant and apply to be a server/waiter/waitress. Should make decent money, meet people, etc. Either that or find a college bar (or young person bar) and be a bartender or barhand. You'll certainly meet a lot of people doing that.
