I competed in my first show today.( http://www.slapshow.com ) Since I'm not one for the BOOM, I did sound quality.

My Dynaudio's performed flawlessly, The judge was very impressed by my imaging and soundstage. I did get some deductions in a few catagories

They subtracted points for:

• No wire protection, I don't have wire loom under the hood, and my terminals for my cap are not covered.
  
• I didn't hit high enough on SPL, I hit a 129. The meter was showing on the low side today. A buddy that usually hits 160 only hit 149.3
  
• He also said that my mid base rolled into my sub, So I gotta work on my crossover points.

Overall he said the system sounded great.
Oh, By the way, I placed second!

Congrats on your good finish. I will be hosting 2 SLAPshow events and running several others in Illinois this summer. I haven't had a chance to talk with Terry Miller (the guy that came from Georgia to run the Tulsa event) to see how the show was. How was the turn-out? were there a lot of sq cars or mostly spl?

Mostly SPL, It was a decent turnout. Speaking of Terry, He talked about you. Said that there was no need for another sound quality contour.!
There was also another guy there from Mississippi that knew you (David Wood). They were some pretty good people. I can't wait to try this again.

I'm working on getting a 10W7 to replace my Fosgate 12, and a PPI 2600.1 to power it.
I'll dedicate my PPI 4800.2 to my Dynaudio's.

Maybe that will boost my spl a little!

Any tips you have will come in handy Mr. Judge!!!!

I've got a tip. Skip the 10W7 and get an Adire Brahma.

There is _always(!)_ room for another SQ Contour. It is really fun to go to shows and have my SVT parked next to Anthony Davis' (2DEEP2). Since we both are on Team Xtant we get to spend a lot of time side by side.

Hey, there's a thought!! Get some Xtant in your car and come hang out with us!! We can have a Team SVT as well!!
