OP Kain New CEG\'er K Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 32 PA	If I go with 15" wheels, what width would work or be better on my contour. 6.5" or 7"? The tires size is 205/55/15. The tire that I want says it will fit 5.5 to 7.5 inches but I'm not sure if there would be a different in ride quality with a 0.5" difference. If I understand correctly, the tire will still have the same amount of ground contact whether I've chosen the wheel with the 6.5 or the 7 width. What should I get and what are some addvange/disavange do they have. Also what is a good offset for 15's. I didnt see anything about it in the sticky. Look at TireRack.com, find the tires you're interested in and go to the Specs. page. In at least the Goodyear and Yokohama Specs., they list the Design Rim Width for each tire size. In theory, that would be the ideal width for a given tire size. Marty 98 SVT, Black, No. 786, May 7, 1997. I'm planning on getting the rota slipstream wheels, either 15x6.5, 15x7 or I can go with the 16x7. I dont know what the stock width is for my car. I dont want to rush into buying wheels and having the wrong size. So I should still stick with the 15x6.5. Will I have any problems if I choose the 16x7. I don't think you can go wider than that w/o problems, but a 215 on a 7" should be good. I think 225s can cause problems, IIRC.
